AIM is a scholarship scheme associated with the Inculcate programme. The Scholarship will be available for students who are completing seventh standard or those who have just entered the 8th standard. Students will be selected through an aptitude test.  The students will be awarded a scholarship for five years.  The amount of the scholarship will be Rs.750 per month.  Rs.2500 will be given as contingency amount to meet the expenses for purchasing scientific books and to visit research institutions, industries and other scientific establishments within the country. There will be 57 scholarships. Ten percent will be SC/ST students.  Fifty percent of the total strength shall be girl students.  Fifty percent students shall be from rural schools.  The Scholarship will be continued after obtaining a performance report of each student, every year.

Each student will be attached to an eminent scholar (mentor) in the Universities or research institutions.  The students will also have the opportunity to interact with eminent academia from leading research institutes.  The programme will be coordinated by eminent academics in the University community.  The students selected for the scholarship scheme will be given an orientation programme at the Science and Technology Museum with the support of major research institutions within Kerala.
